Reimagined Coatesville: The Revitalization of Chester County’s Only City is Starting to Boom
The City of Coatesville, which has a rich history in steel fabrication, is on an upward swing, with businesses, restaurants, and retail shops flocking to the downtown area, writes Edwin Malet for County Lines Magazine.
The Midway Arts Building has been home to over 30 businesses since its opening in 2019. The Made in Coatesville Small Business Incubator provides a cost-effective location for entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses while being equipped with the proper tools and skills.
Two of Downtown Coatesville’s newest restaurants are the Iron Eagle Bar & Grille and The Record Kitchen + Bar. The Iron Eagle has a dish for every tastebud – whether it is one of their Asian-inspired appetizers or their Southern-style sandwiches. The Record sells a variety of must-try wood-fired pizzas, fresh-baked sandwiches, and some other truly one-of-a-kind dishes.
Other interesting and highly anticipated projects coming are Steel City Brewing, a new brewery and restaurant; 30 Prime Seafood and Chophouse, a steak and seafood spot; Andrea’s Jazz Cafe, which will offer live entertainment; the new Coatesville train station; and the National Sports and Events Center, a 245,000 square foot facility for sporting events, concerts, and more.
