St. Edmond’s Home for Children Celebrates Longtime Volunteer Jane Young
St. Edmond’s Home for Children in Rosemont recently celebrated its 8th annual “Cup Day,” where longtime volunteer Jane Young was honored, writes Maggie Corcoran for Main Line Times & Suburban.
The Women’s Auxiliary for the St. Edmond’s Home for Children hosted the event. The group was founded in 1917 to help care for children with physical, intellectual, and medical disabilities.
The auxiliary raises funds to support the children and staff at St. Edmond’s and to help maintain the home.
At this year’s event, which was held at Overbrook Golf Club, Jane Young was honored for her longtime service to the auxiliary and St. Edmond’s Home.
Young has been a volunteer since 1970.
“I am honored and humbled to receive this honor. What a privilege it is to be a member of the auxiliary to be able to give time and effort to our St. Edmond’s children, God’s Angels. I know you feel that way and hope that you will give your support as well,” she said.
