Mixed-Use Development Chosen for Redevelopment of Norristown State Hospital Grounds
Pinnacle Realty Company’s plans for a mixed-use development concept called the Preserve at Stony Brook has been chosen by the Norristown Municipal Council as part of plans to redevelop the grounds of Norristown State Hospital, writes Rachel Ravina for Main Line Times & Suburban.
As a first step, the Norristown council has agreed to move forward with development proceedings for the Preserve at Stony Brook.
The mixed-use development will be built on the 68 acres of the Norristown State Hospital property the municipality owns.
Anthony Maras, president of Pinnacle Reality Company, said that he is “very active and anxious to get community input” on the development plan.
The mixed-use concept will consist of 728 residential units, 60,000 square feet of commercial space, and an “office and industrial tech complex.”
Maras added that 448 of the residential units will either be for sale or rent-own and the rest would be apartments. There are also plans for community gathering space, a daycare center, a pool, and a clubhouse.
