Montgomery County Community College is seeking candidates for the Human Resources Generalist position.

The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for HR-related duties and projects in support of the Human Resources Office.

This position is responsible for administering, implementing, and assisting with a variety of human resources functions.

This position has College-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations. 

The selected applicant should have the following skills and credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 
  • Two to three years of experience in Human Resources required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP and/or SHRM-SCP preferred. 
  • Thorough understanding of all Federal, state, and local laws regarding employment, and recruitment.
  • Understands how to navigate within an educational institution, knows the available resources, and can organize a program to effectively fulfill the college’s needs.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills; effective communicator. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, HRIS, Internet, email, database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation experience.
