These Local Holiday Events Are Guaranteed to Get You in the Spirit of the Season
With the holiday season in full swing, there are plenty of events around Montgomery County to get you into the spirit of the season, writes Vince Carey for the Main Line Times & Suburban.
Hanukkah in Manayunk kicked off with the 8 Crazy Nights Giveaway Contest on Instagram. Additionally, there are several giveaways available on the Jolly Trolley this and the following week. On December 14, Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz and the Manayunk community will hold a candle lighting in Canal View Park.
Lincoln Mill Haunted House in Manayunk premieres A Twisted Christmas, a story about a Krampus-inspired villain Viktor Kane, a mill owner who punished his naughty workers by trapping them in the Lincoln Mill basement, on December 16.
“We wanted to continue telling the Lincoln Mill story throughout the holiday season,” said Lincoln Mill Haunted House Co-Founder Jared Bilsak.
Meanwhile, this year, Happy Holidays from Rox has expanded to a three-day holiday event – December 8 through 10 – indoor pop-up market. The weekend will kick off with a spectacular tree-lighting ceremony. Santa and Elsa and Anna from Frozen will make appearances over the weekend.
