A Cheltenham Grad is LinkedIn’s First-Ever Chief Operating Officer

Not only is Dan Shapero celebrating his second anniversary as the company’s first-ever Chief Operating Officer, but he has also helped it exceed $15B in revenue.

Dan Shapero, a 1996 Cheltenham High School graduate, is making a name for himself at the business and employment-focused social media platform LinkedIn, writes Ryan Genova for Glenside Local.

Not only is he celebrating his second anniversary as the company’s first-ever Chief Operating Officer, but he has also helped it exceed $15B in revenue.

In his role as chief operating officer, he oversees global sales, operations, and member and customer success.

He originally joined LinkedIn in 2008 and has held different leadership roles in the company. His most recent was as Chief Business Officer.

Shapero was named an All-Suburban One first-team soccer goalkeeper while at Cheltenham High School, according to local historian Chuck Langerman.
