Sellersville restaurant, Café @ the Mill, is germinating its business into a small-batch craft beer brewery, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

“We’ve been doing the restaurant thing for a while now, and it’s been a success. So, throwing this into the mix will be a good thing,” said Chef Shane Dam, who owns the venue with his wife, Staci.

Occupying the original Wambold’s Mill, the downtown Sellersville restaurant has been a breakfast and lunch mainstay for seven years, serving a selection of teas and Italian sodas alongside its food menu.

Originally leasing the property, the owners purchased the building in March, allowing them to take advantage of the three-story building and 2-acre lot.

Café @ the Mill is currently awaiting a liquor license and will move forward with renovations once approved. They aim to have the craft brewery open by late Spring or early Summer.

In addition to the brewery, the café will start serving dinner from Wednesday through Saturday. Public events, such as family movie nights and live music are also part of the expansion.
