Service to the new SEPTA Conshohocken station on the Manayunk/Norristown Line commenced on Monday, November 6.

On Thursday, SEPTA was joined by elected officials and other stakeholders to celebrate the opening of the new Conshohocken Station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to a staff report from I SEPTA Philly.

Service to the new station on the Manayunk/Norristown Line commenced on Monday, November 6.

The new station is located directly to the west of the old station, which made it possible for SEPTA to continue operation throughout construction.

Conshohocken Station averages around 500 weekday rides, which makes it one of SEPTA’s busiest Regional Rail stations.

“This station provides accessible Regional Rail service to a growing area of Montgomery County thanks to a recent boom of residential and commercial development in the borough,” said SEPTA Board Chairman Pasquale T. Deon Sr.

“I am proud of the Board’s commitment to investing in projects that not only improve mobility but also build communities and support regional economic growth.”

The work on the roughly $15 million project started in November 2019.

The station is fully ADA accessible and includes a new building and passenger shelters, high-level platforms, and an accessible parking area, along with a new grade crossing for vehicular and pedestrian traffic, new signage, and new lighting.
