The Radnor Board of Commissioners recently approved the purchase of two electric vehicles for its police fleet, writes Richard Ilgenfritz for Main Line Media News.
The new police cars are F-150 Lightning SuperCrew Cab all-electric vehicles.
The purchase is being funded by a state Local Share Account Grant. The vehicles each cost $54,471. When the cost of emergency vehicle upfitting is factored in, the total cost is estimated to be about $145,792.
Commissioner Jack Larkin was one of the commissioners who voiced excitement about the electric vehicles.
