A $12 million château-inspired home in Gladwyne looks like it should be nestled in the French countryside, writes Emma Reynolds for the Robb Report.

The seven-bedroom, nine-full-and-seven-half-bathroom residence is set on 7.25 gorgeous acres in one of the richest zip codes in the U.S.

The home is approached on a long tree-lined driveway that leads to a motor court with a lovely fountain at its center.

Special attention was devoted to each detail of the home, from its brick and stone façade and the tiered limestone terraces and arches to its many turrets and chimneys.

Inside, nearly every room is dressed to impress with crystal chandeliers and golden moldings.

“The home was custom built over a four-year period, beginning in 2003 and completed in 2007,” said listing agent Lisa Ciccotelli of BHHS Fox and Roach Realtors.

“The owners were enamored, and ultimately inspired, by the Palace of Versailles.”

And the residence newly on the market is also special in other ways.

“It’s all of the bespoke details, masterfully crafted features, hand-selected finishes, and state-of-the-art technology that create the sophisticated grandeur the estate embodies,” said Ciccotelli.
