Daniel G. Ronca, an Ambler lawyer, is excited to serve as a Montgomery County Common Pleas Court judge come January, writes Carl Hessler Jr. for The Pottstown Mercury.

The Democratic candidate beat out Republican Charlie Rosenbaum in Tuesday’s election.

Ronca will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Gary Silow.

“I was thrilled. I saw this as a culmination of a longstanding desire to really serve the community as a judge,” Ronca said.

“I was thrilled at the opportunity this presented. I’m looking forward to being able to resolve cases, to helping families or individuals to work through their problems. I love trial work and I look forward to presiding over trials.”

Ronca said he isn’t sure yet whether he will serve in family, civil, or criminal court, but he is prepared to serve wherever he is needed the most.

According to his campaign website, he has experience as a criminal prosecutor, a civil litigation attorney, and as a family lawyer as well as an arbitrator, mediator, and parenting coordinator for family law matters.

Ronca is a graduate of Wissahickon High School and Temple University School of Law. He is currently a partner with the law firm Sattin, Ronca & Cornelison.
