Chris Rhodes has lived his life in Main Line houses, most recently at a home in the Merion Golf Estates.

“I love the Colonial look,” he said.

He bought the five-bedroom, 2-1/2-bath home for himself and his two teenage daughters just a year ago, but life changes.

An early retirement as an IT manager has made it no longer practical to keep the house.

Now, he’s looking to sell the property as he hunts around for an opportunity to stay in Havertown.  He describes the area as “very safe, community-oriented, people on the streets Saturday night.”

And he’d like to keep his daughters in the Haverford Township School District.

The stone and stucco house is a five-minute walk to the center of town.

The house has flagstone walkways, flower beds, three sycamore trees, a koi pond, a hot tub, and a one-car garage.

Inside, the first floor has oak hardwood floors with walnut inlays.  You’ll find a large formal dining room with a bay window, a kitchen with granite countertops and custom cabinetry, and a living room with a stone fireplace.
