This year’s Hobart’s Run by the River will offer a spooky twist, as the event will be held just before Halloween. The Run by the River will take place on Sunday, October 29, beginning at 9 a.m. (8 a.m. registration) at scenic Riverfront Park in Pottstown.

Runners are encouraged to get into a creepy, funny, festive Monster Mash mindset and run in their very best Halloween attire.  Special prizes will be given not only for the fastest runners but for those who are most “spirited” in categories including: Scariest Costume, Best Duo Costume, Best Group (3 or More) Costume, and Most Creative Costume.

This community and family-oriented fundraising event helps the nonprofit make an impact in Pottstown through its various neighborhood improvement initiatives, including the Adopt-a-Trashcan Program, Business Incentive Grants, Façade Improvement Grants, and Homeownership Improvement Program, as well as outreach that benefits area children and families in need.

Hobart’s Run is seeking essential sponsorship support from area businesses, individuals, and organizations.

Silver Sponsors ($250) who reply by Friday, October 13, 2023, will receive a 2×2” logo on the official dry-wick race t-shirt and recognition in publications and social media.

Bronze Sponsors ($100) and Copper Sponsors ($10-$99) who reply by Friday, October 27, 2023, will receive recognition on social media.
