Montgomery County Young Innovators Make Philadelphia INNO Under 25
PHL Inno is recognizing 14 Greater Philadelphia young innovators as this year’s Inno Under 25 honorees, and three of the honorees are in Montgomery County, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.
Inno Under 25 highlights individuals 25 years of age and younger whose innovations are bringing positive change to the region.
Here are the top young innovators in Montgomery County.
Jake Henry
Jake Henry, age 23, is the founder and CEO of Lectra Technologies in King of Prussia. Wanting to find a better way to ease his mother’s joint pain caused by osteoarthritis, he created LectraTape which is similar to kinesiology tape. It has built-in technology that monitors feedback from muscles and nerves and produces small shocks to the muscles to improve recovery.
James Massaquoi
James Massaquoi, age 25, is an analyst for Osage Venture Partners based in Bala Cynwyd. While a student at the University of Delaware he started 3D modeling company 360VR Technology which raised over $375,000 in funding. Before joining Osage Venture Partners, Massaquoi, a first generation American originally from Sierra Leone, managed an account with Amazon that was worth more than $300 million.
Gunti Weissenberger and Magnus Weissenberger
Weissenberger brothers, Gunti, age 22 and Magnus, age 20, are co-founders of ParkPlug based in King of Prussia. They created software and an app that allows property owners to automatically bill residents or club members for using electrical chargers for their vehicles. They also created ParkPlug-branded charging stations and offer a custom-built option.
