The nonprofit group that supports the Valley Forge National Historic Park, Valley Forge Park Alliance, is honoring a little of the old and the new with its speaker series for 2023-2024, writes Hope Weiss for Main Line Tonight.

The series which kicks off in October will include bestselling authors and experts in history and historic preservation.

It will take place at The Circuit in Chesterbrook and the books for the series will be available to buy at Reads & Company, a bookshop in Phoenixville.

Offering a little something for everyone, the series will also include some lectures and fireside chats.

Margot McGinley, a Valley Forge Park Alliance board member will lead a fireside chat with Julien Icher, founder and president of The Lafayette Trail, Inc., a nonprofit whose mission is to map and mark General Lafayette’s footsteps during his Farewell Tour of the U.S. in 1824 and 1825.
