The two friends are making their Eagles apparel business a huge success.

A year after they launched their Eagles apparel brand, best friends Meg McKernan and Maggie Dortone opened The Dimes Club, a new store in Ardmore, writes Ana Welsh for the Main Line Tonight

The new boutique at 694 Pont Reading Road had a soft opening last week and will officially open on September 30 with a major celebration.

The two friends are making their Eagles apparel business a huge success. So far, they have sold more than $100,000 in Eagles and Phillies-inspired clothing online. All of the sweatshirts, T-shirts, and hats on offer were designed by them.

Their decision to open a brick-and-mortar store follows a number of successful events they organized.

“Our online presence was great, but our events were even better,” said McKernan. “We realized that we love connecting with our community in person. It brings us joy.”

In addition to having their own apparel brand, the two women are real estate investors and own The Dimes Club building. They purchased the property with their friend, Theresa Brady

“We wanted more than a business,” said McKernan. “We wanted a financial investment. And three investors are better than two.”
