Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra Returns to Lansdale for 52nd Season
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony is back in Lansdale for its 52nd season which will feature more than a dozen works by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Elgar Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, and Mascagni.
The 2023-2024 Season will also spotlight internationally known soloists like world renowned recording artist, Pianist Claire Huangci, a Lansdale native who resides in Germany. She will open the Season with Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto.
Principal Clarinetist of The Philadelphia Orchestra, Ricardo Morales, and Tenor Eric Fennell will also perform in concert.
Other highlights include Elgar’s popular Enigma Variations, Brahms’ Symphony No. 3, Vaughan Williams’ Fifth Symphony, and Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony.
“For over 50 years, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra has been bringing moving performances of symphonic music and featuring internationally renowned soloists. We are especially excited to return to a central location in the region,” SPSO President Kiran Padgaonkar, said.
“After several critical seasons at Dock Academy in Souderton, where we continued to perform and stream concerts during the pandemic, the Symphony is returning to Calvary Baptist Church which has one of the best venues for symphonic music. From the accessibility of the venue and generous parking to the incredible acoustics and large seating area, Calvary Baptist Church makes for one of the finest performance venues in the region.”
