A swift early pace pushed Pope John Paul II past Pottsgrove Saturday 35-7 on Sept. 30 in Pennsylvania football.

Pope John Paul II darted in front of Pottsgrove 14-0 to begin the second quarter.

The Golden Panthers’ offense moved in front for a 21-7 lead over the Falcons at the intermission.

Neither squad could muster points in the third quarter.

The Golden Panthers got the better of the fourth-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 14-0 edge.

In recent action on Sept. 16, Pope John Paul II faced off against Father Judge and Pottsgrove took on Pottstown on Sept. 22 at Pottstown High School.
