Mitchell & Ness, which was acquired last year by Michael Rubin’s company Fanatics and a group of celebrity investors, has named a new CEO, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Eli Kumekpor, former global Vice President and general manager of Nike’s Jordan Brand division, will take over for Kevin Wolff who is retiring.

Kumekpor will report to Joe Bozich, Fanatics’ CEO of Vertical Brands.

“Eli has an incredible background that includes several years leading one of the world’s most progressive, beloved brands,” Bozich said.

“He is the perfect leader to take Mitchell & Ness, an iconic lifestyle and culture brand, to the next level, as well as bring an elevated product mindset to everything Fanatics designs and makes.”
