Some Montco Students Will Soon Be Able to Explore Careers Virtually

Patch and T-Mobile have been asking the community to nominate teachers who stand out in the classroom.

Students at the North Penn High School in Lansdale will soon be able to use technology to explore career opportunities virtually, writes WFMZ staff.

The North Penn School District Educational Foundation has partnered with Boston Legacy Foundation and the VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn to provide a technology grant to the high school so it can purchase five career exploration headsets for its students to use.

The new program will allow students who are traditionally under-represented to learn about a wide variety of career paths including those in the healthcare field. With the headsets, they will be able to experience a virtual “day in the life” of different professionals.

This will be especially helpful for students who may not be able to travel to an internship.

There will be an informational event about the technology on Monday, August 14. Read more about the event at WFMZ.
