The name change to Cencora was announced back in January, but it just became official on Wednesday.

AmerisourceBergen, a wholesale pharmaceutical distribution and services company based in Conshohocken and Pennsylvania’s largest company, has officially changed its name to Cencora, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The name change was announced back in January, but it just became official on Wednesday.

Cencora CEO Steven H. Hollis said this is an important milestone for the company.

He explained, “Our new name is a reminder of our customers, their patients, and our team members — who we are at the center of everything we do. It represents the healthier futures we strive for serving as a trusted industry partner that prioritizes innovation, advocates for patient access, and advances strategic partnerships across the global pharmaceutical value chain.”

Cencora’s ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange is now “COR.”
