SBA Loans Available to Montgomery County Small Businesses Affected by Recent Disasters
The Small Business Administration is making low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture enterprises, and private nonprofits which were affected by the recent disasters in Pennsylvania, including the Pennsylvania R.M. Palmer company factory explosion and the Interstate 95 bridge collapse, writes Manuel Herrera for Al Dia.
The loans were made available in response to the letters sent by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, requesting a disaster declaration from the SBA.
For the explosion, the statement covers Berks, Chester, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Schuylkill counties.
Meanwhile, relating to the Interstate 95 bridge collapse, low-interest disaster loans are already available in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
“BA’s mission-driven team stands ready to help Pennsylvania small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses, and private nonprofit organizations impacted by the June 11 Interstate 95 Bridge collapse in Philadelphia,” said Isabel Casillas Guzmán, head of the SBA.
“We’re committed to providing federal disaster loans swiftly and efficiently, with a customer-centric approach to help businesses and communities recover and rebuild,” she added.
