A new Early Learning Center for ages 2 to 5 years will be opening this fall in Blue Bell, thanks to a new partnership between the Greater Philadelphia YMCA and Montgomery County Community College.

The new center will be located on the Blue Bell Campus of the college at 340 DeKalb Pike. Registration is already open.

At this center, the YMCA will provide childcare for students and employees of Montgomery County Community College as well as for local community members. The center has the capacity to serve more than 80 children a day.

Parents will be able to take advantage of several registration options, including a 3-day schedule.

“Quality childcare is an essential service for everyone in the community. It enables parents to fully participate in the workforce or higher education. It allows employers to enjoy the full engagement of their teams. And, of course, it prepares children for a lifetime of success,” said Jen Segelken, Vice President of Youth Development for the Greater Philadelphia, YMCA.

“It is, by far, one of the most important things we do at the Y, and we take great pride in providing that service with high standards and low impact to families’ finances.”

The new center will feature low teacher/child ratios, a nationally recognized curriculum, free meals and snacks and free youth memberships to the local YMCA.
