Community Health & Dental Care invites you to celebrate 2023 National Health Center Week by attending a Health Fair on Friday, August 11, 2023.

National Health Center Week is coming August 6 -12, 2023. It is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades and for the #Next50Years.

The national theme for 2023 is Community Health Centers: The Roadmap to a Stronger America. Each day of National Health Center Week is dedicated to a particular area of focus. Throughout the week of August 6th, CHDC will showcase how it provides high-quality health care, improve health outcomes, and narrow health disparities. CHDC invites the community to celebrate the work that goes into providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the tri-county area.

The weeklong celebration will culminate with an invitation to the tri-county community to attend the CHDC Health Fair on Friday, August 11th at its Coventry Mall location, 351 W. Schuylkill Road in Pottstown from 11 AM – 2 PM (rain or shine).

Over 30 community partner organizations and agencies will be joining CHDC to provide a fun-filled afternoon with health information, a diverse array of community resources, giveaways, activities for kids and adults, refreshments, free health screenings for blood pressure, backpack giveaways and more!

Everyone who attends the Health Fair will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win the CHDC Health Fair basket filled with health goodies and cash prizes.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to earn additional raffle tickets by participating in various tables and/or activities, and by participating in our donation drive to benefit individuals served through the Street Medicine Program. There will also be a Backpack Giveaway! 100 Backpacks filled with back-to-school supplies will be offered to any student under age 18 who needs a backpack to start the school year. Be sure to stop by early if you need a backpack!

Participating community organizations include Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation, Pottstown Hospital Tower Health, TriCounty Active Adult Center, YWCA TriCounty, Pottstown Library, Boyertown Area Multi-Service, Pottstown YMCA, Police Athletic League, Montgomery County Community College, and many more!

In addition, Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a non-profit law firm, will be onsite to provide information on how to obtain Free legal advice as well as assistance with wills and advance directives at no cost to those who qualify.
