Montgomery County officials authorize nearly $2 million in contracts for ongoing construction projects, writes Rachel Ravina for The Reporter.

The agreement package passed in a 2-1 vote during the June 15 meeting. Montgomery County Commissioners’ Chairman Ken Lawrence Jr. and Vice Chairwoman Jamila Winder voted for the five-item package while Commissioner Joe Gale voted against it.

Included in the package is a $968,880 agreement with Skanska USA Building Inc. in Parsippany, New Jersey. The company will be providing “construction management advisory services” for the renovation of the Willow Grove Annex which houses the county’s community connections departments.

Norr in Philadelphia will be providing architectural and engineering services for the renovation.
