A recent episode of Jeopardy! baffled the popular gameshow’s fans when all three contestants, including Lisa Gargiulo, a middle school English teacher from Bryn Mawr, went into the first commercial break with $0 or negative scores, writes Darian Lusk for The Sun.

At the start of the episode hosted by Mayim Bialik, contestants provided six incorrect responses within the first 15 prompts.

When another contestant, Ilhana Redzovic, an investment associate from Chicago, landed on the round’s only Daily Double, she wagered the entire $2,200 she had won up to that point and then lost it all when she provided the wrong answer.

As a result, the round ended in a quite shocking and extremely rare way: Redzovic had a $0 score, while Gargiulo and the third contestant both had -$200.

Things looked up for the contestants in the second round, as they all found their footing. Gargiulo went into Final Jeopardy! with $4,600.

The winner of the episode was Redzovic, who accumulated $10,400 in the episode for a two-day total of $30,800.
