IKEA, the Swedish home furnishings giant with its U.S. headquarters in Conshohocken, is planning on opening a small format store in the DallasFort Worth metro, writes Thomas Lester for Furniture Today.

The “Plan & order point” store with a pick-up point in Southlake, Texas, will measure 10,809 square feet. It will feature home furnishing inspiration along with personalized interior design planning, which are the features of the Ikea Plan & order point, with the addition of an Ikea Pick-up point. This will allow customers to pick up the purchases they make online at the new location.

“We’re excited to grow our presence and offer a new Ikea experience to our DFW area customers with convenience and accessibility in mind,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO and chief sustainability officer for IKEA U.S.

“Whether you’re looking for inspiration, need help from an Ikea design specialist or simply want to pick up an online order, the Ikea Southlake Plan & order point with Pick-up meets our customers where they are and how they like to shop.”

Ikea Southlake will join two existing large-format Ikea stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
