Bowstring Studios, the Conshohocken creative studio, has acquired Wilmington-based video production firm Short Order Production House, writes Holly Quinn for Technical.ly.

Bowstring Studios also renamed the acquired property to Short Order, a Bowstring Company. Short Order will continue to have a satellite office in Delaware where the company will keep working with their local clients and partners.

The two companies have been in one another’s orbit for years, according to Matt Sullivan, formerly Short Order’s director of creative operations. Sullivan is now in the position of VP of growth. Former Short Order CEO Zach Phillips is now the VP of innovation.

“We knew that we approached the job in a similar way, and as it came to pass, this past year, the conversation expanded into the idea of being more than friendly partners down the road,” said Sullivan.

Meanwhile, Sean Quinn, cofounder of Bowstring, said Short Order was a good fit for his company’s goals.

“We’re aggressively looking to grow, and part of that strategy is acquisition,” said Quinn. “We want folks who know what good video content is and looks like and how to get there. And we love the fact that we had a preexisting relationship.”

Short Order Production House is best known for the national commercial for Paoli’s DuckDuckGo from 2019.
