Warren and Millie Potash, a Willow Grove couple, have spent five decades of their lives together, all of which have been filled with love and many adventures. Kellie Patrick Gates profiled their long-term connection in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

They met in a synagogue in 1972, and it only took ten days for both to know they were in love and ready to get married.

“We had so much fun together,” said Millie. “We laughed and laughed the whole time.”

They tied the knot June 24, 1973.

Over the years, they welcomed two sons, Jordan and Marc, and a daughter, Elizabeth, to their family.

Warren built a successful career as a sports performance coach and also published a book in 2012, They’re Not Boys: Safely Training the Adolescent Female Athlete.

Meanwhile, Millie launched a career in administration. Their northern Montgomery County residence puts her within a reasonable commute to her position with the Hatboro-Horsham School District.

Today, they love spending as much time as they can with their family, with whom they will soon mark their half-century of togetherness.

“When Millie and I were first engaged, I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing if we made it to 50 years?’ ” said Warren. “That seems like yesterday, but now here we are.”
