Family-Owned Brewery Coming to Phoenixville
Phoenixville is about to get another brewery, to the joy of many local beer aficionados, writes Breweries in Pennsylvania.
Phoenixville locals Steve and Kara Rogacki are planning to open their Twelve78 Brewing Company at 35 Bridge Street this fall.
The family-owned brewery previously took part in the first-ever Pennsylvania Homebrew Invitational, where it received rave reviews on its beer.
“We started about two years ago. We’ve been incorporated for over a year and have been hitting the festivals with a lot of success and excitement,” said Steve. “Now that we’ve signed our lease agreement, we’ll be filing with the [federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau] for our Brewers’ notice and the [Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board] for our Brewery Permit.”
The owners are planning to continue going to festivals while they prepare to open their brick-and-mortar location.
The brewery will focus on crafting unique beers that blend classic styles with cutting-edge technology and techniques, such as Thiolized Lagers, Pale Ales, and IPAs.
“We’ve started a nice little following with our sour smoothie ale line that blends a sour ale base with fruit purees, ice cream, marshmallows, cake batter, and all sorts of other things,” said Steve.
