City Ave District to Detail Projects Spurring $300 Million of Development
The May 10, 2023, edition of the State of City Ave presentation by the City Ave District is an opportunity for residents and business leaders alike to hear firsthand about the initiatives the organization is undertaking to drive unprecedented growth within the residential and commercial development sectors.
This year’s event will be especially compelling: There are five major developments currently underway in the area, and their combined value has an economic impact of more than $300 million.
They include Federal Realty Investment Trust‘s $8 million shopping center upgrades and five-story mixed-use building replacing the former Lord & Taylor and Keystone Property Group‘s multi-million dollar redevelopment of the One Belmont parking lot into a mixed-used complex boasting retail, dining and entertainment amenities.
They all are indicative of a significant sense of momentum for the City Ave District.
The May 10 event includes a panel discussion with real estate developers and organizational leaders who will provide a behind-the-beams update on their respective projects. Further, they’ll review how these sites align with the latest development and investment trends.
The 2023 panel members include:
- Laura Beyer, Regional Property Manager, Mack Property Management
- Mark Brennan, Vice President, Development Northeast, Federal Realty Investment Trust
- Rich Gottlieb, President & COO, Keystone Development & Investment
- Joe Kender, Senior Vice President, University Relations, Saint Joseph’s University
The moderator is 6abc coanchor Tamala Edwards
The May 10 session at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue starts with a networking breakfast from 8:30–9:15 AM, followed by the program, lasting 9:15–10:30 AM.
