Volunteer opportunities in The City Ave District

April is National Volunteer Month. To acknowledge that – and the amazing non-profit organizations in and around The City Ave District – The District is presenting a free event for those interested in learning about unique, local volunteer opportunities.

On Wednesday April 24, The District will host 10 organizations who are looking for volunteers to help fulfill their mission. Each organization will offer short remarks about opportunities and attendees can then speak to them individually. Jay Scott, Co-Executive Director of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will be the lead speaker and talk about how important volunteers are to their organization to help them be successful in their mission. Plus, attendees will receive lunch courtesy of the City Ave District.
The District is offering this event to help those interested find the right match for their talents and interests.Whether they are looking for a one-time volunteer opportunity or a longer-term commitment, the Volunteer Expo will be a great way to connect with nonprofits in the area.
