Lafayette Hill Couple Forms Home-Goods Business by Melding Their Interests

Rose and Corey Kilbane merged their individual ventures in 2021 into a single business entity, Lafayette Hill-based Rosewood Home, which they are planning to grow. Lisa Dukart reported the marital/commercial union in PHL Inno.

The new business offers home goods such as cutting boards and ornaments and scented candles. It has doubled candle production over the past year, and now its founders are trying to find the best way to increase their retail presence. Currently, their goods can be found at their two primary locations in Old City.

The candles are primarily Rose’s brainchild. She started making them during the pandemic after she received a kit as a 2020 Christmas gift.

“I also really had fun with putting them together, formulating new scents and formulating all of the brand and design that goes around that,” she said.

She launched her company in February 2021.

Meanwhile, home goods are the passion of husband Corey. His business is what attracted his wife to him in the first place.

“From the onset, we’ve really had a shared creative passion that has brought us together,” she said.
