Georgianna Neuber and D.J. Mulhern picked the Beaux Arts class of Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn as the setting for their engagement photos. But they brought a different kind of classy — a 1955 Chevy — to add visual interest. Kristen Schott presented the eye-appealing result for Philadelphia Magazine.

The Bucks County couple met on Tinder in 2018, In 2021, Mulhern proposed on the Penn’s Landing ice rink, secretly bringing Neuber a ring that his jewelry-industry-savvy mother designed.

Mulhern, who played professional hockey in Sweden, was no novice on skates; however, he staged a pratfall designed to put him in a good position to take a knee and pop the question.

“It was a dramatic fall,” Mulhern recalled.

It was Mulhern who had the idea for the shoot’s locale. He was familiar with the historic home as a Bryn Athyn College alum.

One of Neuber’s friends offered his retro wheels to make the photos distinct.

The day was all smiles. “My cheeks hurt so bad by the end of the shoot from smiling so much,” Neuber said.

The Neuber-Mulhern wedding is set for Nov. 5 in New Hope, where the Chevy will transport the couple to the venue.

Philadelphia Magazine has more on this couple, as well as plenty of views of the photogenic Chevy.
