Branden Sisca’s Alma Mater Ensures Fallen Trooper Isn’t Forgotten
In advance of the Mar. 21, 2023, anniversary of the I-95 accident that took Trooper Branden Sicsa, his high school alma mater — Perkiomen Valley High School in Collegeville — remembered him publicly. Ted Hodgins covered the emotional recollections for The Sanatoga Post.
Sisca, according to CBS Philadelphia coverage at the time, grew up in Montgomery County and was chief at Trappe Fire Company.
He and partner Martin F. Mack were struck and killed on the South Philadelphia highway, near the Broad Street exit, as they were assisting a troubled pedestrian.
The driver of the vehicle that took all three lives is slated to go on trial for her actions in Dec. of this year.
The Sanatoga Post coverage reported that “hundreds” of attendees took part in the service, including community members, public officials, and first responders. A common theme among them was his ongoing commitment to community service and his devotion to his family.
Brittany Sisca, spouse of the officer, was pregnant at the time of the tragedy. CBS Philadelphia subsequently reported that she delivered baby girl Brynne in June 2022.
Both were in attendance, as chronicled in The Sanatoga Post, where the full story is available.
