An iconic Oldies.com building viewable by motorists on I-476 — the Blue Route — has been sold. Real estate developer Bala Cynwyd-based Velocity Venture Partners purchased the 56,000 structure for $7.85 million according to Robert Moran’s story in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The real estate developer so far has a hefty portfolio that includes more than 100 buildings.

But the West Conshohocken business isn’t going away.

Oldies.com, which primarily sells vinyl records and DVDs, has simply decided to downsize, finding that it can benefit from a smaller footprint while still meeting customer demand.

The warehouse can be found just east of King of Prussia at 60 Portland Rd.

Fans of retro-tech routinely buy iconic vinyl records, movies, and collectibles from the vendor, using its website or catalog.
