The human mind is one of the most complex and fascinating things on the planet. During a week-long Gwynedd Mercy University program, high-school students will dig deep into understanding why people do what they do and learn how to support them in their personal, academic, and professional actions.

The GMercyU “Get Psyched” program is designed to take students on a journey of discovery as they learn about typical development to prevention and treatment of mental health issues.

Led by members of the psychology faculty, students will participate in workshops and discussions to explore areas that include:

  • Personality
  • Social psychology
  • Lifespan development
  • Counseling skills
  • Leadership
  • Positive psychology
  • Human behavior

Further, it addresses its focus on these factors across a number of settings.

Each day, students will be given time for self-care through mindfulness, physical-creative expression, and open time for personal reflection. Small groups will facilitate discussion and mentorship.
