Plymouth Meeting Cancer Network Deepens Info-Sharing Relationship with Experts in Poland
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) is deepening its collaboration with two cancer-related healthcare organizations in Poland. The arrangement, covered in Markets Insider, is designed to share focused insights.
The agreement is between the NCCN, a Plymouth Meeting alliance of healthcare information providers, and two organizations in Poland:
- The Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (IHIT)
- Alliance For Innovation — Polish-American Foundation (AFI)
The agreement among the three focuses on cross-pollination of expertise and international experience surrounding blood cancer.
“This new agreement highlights our commitment to continue advancing our ongoing collaboration with Polish colleagues to standardize and improve how cancers are managed,” said Robert W. Carlson, MD, Chief Executive Officer, NCCN.
He continued: “The [IHIT] is the leading medical and research hospital in Poland for hematology; it serves as a national clinical and diagnostic reference center. Together, we can make sure more people with blood cancers receive region-appropriate treatment based on the latest evidence and expert consensus.”
The blood-cancer initiative is not the first time these three organizations have melded informational resources. They have already united on Polish NCCN Guidelines Adaptations for cancer of the :
- Central nervous system
- Cervix
- Colon
- Head and neck
- Ovaries
