It’s no question that our full-time jobs can cause a great deal of stress. Here are the best low-stress (and some high-paying) jobs according to the website Career Sherpa.

Massage Therapist

Average salary: $43,000

Massage therapists help alleviate tension in your body, but the job itself is also in a low stress environment. Typically, spas or other venues that offer massage therapy services try to maintain a zen ambiance.

Astronomer

Average salary: $120,000

While this position requires an advanced degree and many years of academics, it pays off if you love to stargaze. It requires careful observation as well as mathematical skills.

Art Director

Average salary: $114,000

Those who have an artistic eye and love working on their creative skills would find this position perfect. It’s also versatile and allows for flexibility and independence.

Food Scientist

Average salary: $80,100

Want to add some flavor to your career? This niche field might be right for you. Food scientists work on developing flavor, studying the nutritional value, or evaluating safety. It requires a lot of work in a lab, which some may find to be low stress.

Audiologist

Average salary: $86,500

A person in this position would diagnose and treat hearing conditions as well as working with patients who have neural system problems. It’s less stressful since these conditions are not life-threatening.
