BET Investments Buys Property Next to Ambler SEPTA Station
A real estate company plentiful in Montgomery County developments is on to its next project.
This time, BET Investments Inc. will be revisiting its office building portfolio. It recently purchased a structure and parking lot adjacent to a SEPTA station in Ambler, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Records indicate that the purchase price of the two-story building was $12.8 million.
BET president Michael Markman calls Ambler a “hot spot” and lauds the property’s location for its proximity to the SEPTA station and restaurants.
“Ambler has actually been something we’ve been looking at for years, with [its] influx of restaurants and shops,” Markman said. “It’s been a destination in the northern suburbs.”
So far, the office has two tenants: Hatch LTK, a transportation consulting firm, and Precis Engineering, a provider of interior design services.
Markman said that BET will keep the structure as an office building for as long as firms occupy it. The company’s focus elsewhere is on retail and housing spaces.
BET Investment also developed the $200-million Promenade in Upper Dublin.
