2022 List of Most Expensive Homes in the State Shows the Montgomery County Cost of Doing the Deed
Stacker has analyzed residential real estate statistics in Pennsylvania, arriving at a list of the most expensive communities in terms of buying a home and acquiring its deed.
The total list communities listed by dollar-sign disbursement (there are 30) are clustered around the state’s major metros — Phila. and Pittsburgh — with price tags in the eastern part of the commonwealth eclipsing those in the west.
In terms of distribution, Montgomery, Chester, and Bucks counties yielded the same number of notable neighborhoods (eight).
Delaware County’s four primo ZIP Codes followed in the tally, and two high-end real-estate clusters were from the Pittsburgh area.

The No. 1 Pa. community for high-end residential real estate transactions is Edgeworth, an Allegheny County location bordering the Ohio River.
