The first, new hotel to open in Conshohocken in 21 years will combine the borough’s industrial past with the nearby Main Line’s opulent influence.

As part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Hotel West & Main is slated to open today and will feature 127 rooms, a rooftop bar and lounge, a spacious fitness center, and meeting spaces equipped with state-of-the-art technology that provides an unparalleled experience to both business travelers and leisure guests.

Keystone Development + Investment, a Conshohocken-based real estate developer and investor of mixed-use properties, broke ground on the boutique hotel in early 2021. It represents the final construction phase for the $325 million, 520,000-square-foot development known as SORA West, where the new global headquarters of Fortune 10 pharmaceutical distribution company AmerisourceBergen is located in an 11-story office tower.

In addition to a 12-story public and private parking garage, SORA West includes a firehouse on the National Register of Historic Places that has been brought back to life as a gateway to the development. A first-floor restaurant named 1874 Social will honor the year the fire company formed on the site, as well as a second-floor gastropub named the Hook & Ladder Skybar, will physically connect the firehouse with the new hotel to create an unmatched, indoor-outdoor experience for guests.

“We’ve connected one of the most important companies to one of the most important sites in a way that redefines Conshohocken’s skyline and ushers in a new era of downtown vibrancy for one of Greater Philadelphia’s most prominent submarkets,” said Keystone Development + Investment CEO Bill Glazer.

Hotel West & Main reimagines the social club or workers’ union hall of a bygone era, deconstructing divides and becoming a destination for people from all walks of life.

“The hotel is in a central location with ample built-in demand from businesses and neighboring towns,” said Glazer. “The hotel dining and lounge experience will bring vibrant activity to Conshohocken all week long, making SORA West the town’s center.”

When entering Conshohocken from the Fayette Street Bridge, SORA West greets visitors as a modern, engaging gateway that breathes new life into the downtown, while honoring its history and community anchors.

“The hotel is the last piece of this puzzle that will ultimately create a true transit-oriented downtown,” said Keystone Development + Investment COO Richard Gottlieb.
