This past August, Malvern Bank CEO Anthony C. Weagley was part of the winning team who secured the 2022 NSBA World Championship title in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Weagley is part owner of Blue Mountain Quarter Horses, a boutique breeding farm in Slatington, Pa.

At the farm, Delbert Hostetler, who has been producing his own line of Quarter Horses, trained their homebred filly Simply Statutory to bring home the title. The filly snagged the prestigious belt buckle and trophy despite concerns early on that she would not have the height to be competitive.

Trainer Kristy Lee Smith at Blue Mountain Quarter Horses was instructed to break her under saddle, which later guaranteed Simply Statutory’s impressive performance at the NSBA. She showed her talent in Performance Halter, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail and Barrels this year, defining how versatile breed the Quarter Horse is.

Malvern Bank launched its Equestrian Division in 2017, and the passion that birthed this business comes from Weagley and extends throughout the bank to other executives and team members. The bank prides itself on its ability to structure loans based on business and individual needs. It offers lending services for equestrian properties and equipment, a high yield money market account for equestrians, and can handle client deposits, insurance, and investment management.
