Bryn Mawr College, No. 11 on the Niche list of best Pa. colleges.

Four Montgomery County colleges have ranked among the 25 best colleges in Pa. for 2023, according to a recently released list by Niche, writes Rachel Ravina for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

This latest assessment comes atop a recent similar nod from the Princeton Review.

As did its N.J. counterpart, Niche performed a rigorous, statewide analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student-life data collected both from the U.S. Department of Education and millions of reviews from students and alumni.

Haverford College — whose footprint dips into Montco’s Lower Merion Township — ranked highest, placing fourth, one notch lower than last year. The private school also nearly broke into the top 50 nationwide at No. 51. Haverford has a low acceptance rate of 18 percent, which makes it very competitive.

Meanwhile, Bryn Mawr College landed in 11th place. The school, which slipped one place from last year, has an acceptance rate of 38 percent.

Next on the list is Temple University, with its Ambler Campus. The school earned slot No. 15. Temple University has an acceptance rate of 71 percent.

The list is rounded out by Saint Joseph’s University, near Wynnewood, at No. 22. The school has an acceptance rate of 80 percent.
