Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the part-time clerk for its Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) outreach that supports students’ academic endeavors.

The Part-Time KEYS clerk is responsible for providing clerical, data entry and scheduling for the KEYS program. As a temporary, grant-funded opportunity it is contingent upon ongoing grant funding.

Further, although it is Blue Bell-based, the role’s college-wide responsibilities mean travel among all MCCC campuses and other offsite locations.

The part-time KEYS clerk will:

  • Provide clerical support for the program coordinator/director and program staff
  • Assist in creating print materials and various mailings
  • Maintain and order supplies for the KEYS staff
  • Assist with the entry of student data into Department of Public Welfare Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) system
  • Assist with the tracking of attendance documents for program compliance and incentive program
  • Maintain student databases
  • Create and document requisitions and purchase orders
  • Provide telephone contact and administrative backup for the KEYS program
  • Assist program staff with scheduling appointments, classrooms and workshops
  • Provide assistance in preparing state reports
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Education/Training/Work Experience

Appropriate candidates will have the following required/preferred skills:

  • A high-school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Six months of directly applicable experience
  • Communication and computer capabilities

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of office equipment
  • Customer service experience

Additional Abilities

• The ability to:

  • Multitask
  • Focus attention on details
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Prioritize workload
  • Work within a team-oriented setting
