Gwynedd Mercy University Welcomes Nancy Dunleavy and Erin Duffy to the Board of Trustees

Gwynedd Mercy University welcomes two new additions to its Board of Trustees.

Gwynedd Mercy University recently welcomed Erin Duffy, Esq., and Nancy Dunleavy to its Board of Trustees for a three-year term.

Erin Duffy is currently the Vice-Chair of the Duane Morris Health Law Practice Group and a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Her area of concentration is on corporate healthcare regulatory matters, in which she advises clients on a wide range of issues. Duffy’s main areas of practice are healthcare law and healthcare litigation. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively on corporate transactions and administrative agency matters with healthcare providers.

Duffy was listed in the 2022 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and served on the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur’s Board of Trustees from 2010-2016.

Nancy Dunleavy is returning to GMercyU’s Board, having served for 15 years between 2005 and 2020.  She held the role of Chair between 2011 and 2020. During this time, Dunleavy led the institution through significant changes, including the designation of University status, a successful capital campaign, the addition of new online and accelerated programs, and the hiring of current President Deanne H. D’Emilio, JD.

Dunleavy is founder and CEO of Dunleavy & Associates, a woman-owned business established in 2001 with a focus on empowering charitable organizations to reach their fullest potential. Her entrepreneurial career involves more than 20 years in the healthcare industry as a senior financial manager and hospital administrator. She also served as Chief Financial Officer for 10 years and Senior Vice President for Corporate Development for two years at Friends Hospital and Behavioral Health System.

Dunleavy is an engaged community member and leader, lending her talents to a number of organizations across the region, including the LEADERSHIP Philadelphia Board of Directors, the Valley Forge Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Trustees, and the Union League of Philadelphia Board of Directors.
