Welcome to Delcoland, Delaware County in miniature golf form. You’ll find this unique course behind the former Charlie’s Hamburgers lot in Folsom, now home to a Delco Steaks.

The golf course is the brainchild of home-grown entrepreneurs Nick Reynolds and John McKenzie, writes Stephanie Farr for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The goal was to somehow make Delaware County more Delco.

“One day we said ‘Hey, like Disneyland, how fun would it be to have a Delcoland?’” Reynolds said.

Reynolds, 41, and McKenzie, 43, are the owners of the Splash Surf Club in Broomall, the Marple Public House (also in Broomall), and six Delco Steaks, a cheesesteak chain.

Delcoland opened in November 2021, possibly the only miniature golf course dedicated to the virtues of a single county.

Detailed signs for each hole created by artist Hawk Krall represent a different Delco town and landmark.

There’s the Bazaar of All Nations, the Media Courthouse, the first Wawa (in Folsom), and The Tower Theater, just to name a few.

“We wanted everyone from Delco to feel that sense of pride coming in here,” Reynolds said. “And if you’re not from Delco, you come in and you get a little tour and a little education about it.”
