Vertex Looking to Replace Its King of Prussia Headquarters but Plans to Remain in Montco
Vertex, a provider of tax technology solutions, is looking to replace its King of Prussia headquarters but is not planning to move far from its current location, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The company signed a lease for the remainder of the space at 2301 Renaissance Blvd. three weeks before the onset of the pandemic, taking over the entire 200,000-square-foot building. In the last couple years, Vertex has hired over 800 people in the United States.
Two years later, the King of Prussia tax software company is reassessing its office space needs and exploring new possible locations for its headquarters.
However, the company is not planning on leaving the Philadelphia area.
“Philadelphia is where, from Vertex’s perspective, we have been born and raised,” said Steve Hinckley, Vertex COO. “We have no intention to leave our home. The exploration piece is about the changing dynamic over the last two years.”
The company’s current headquarters is the only physical office Vertex maintains and is seldom used by its employees.
Vertex is looking for its new space in King of Prussia, Conshohocken, and other suburban locations, along with the Philadelphia Navy Yard and sites that have easy access to the airport.
