Plymouth Meeting Company Places Among Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers
Plymouth Meeting-based Braeburn has found its way onto a new Forbes list ranking the 500 best startup employers in America, writes Ryan Mulligan for The Business Journals.
America’s Best Startup Employers ranks new businesses by their reputation as employers. Forbes worked with Statista to analyze blog posts, articles, and social media posts in order to determine the ranking. The fourth annual list ranked companies founded between 2012 and 2019.
Braeburn, which is located in Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County, ranked in No. 367. The biotech company was founded in 2012 by Mike Derkacz, who serves as CEO and President. It has been working on developing a treatment for opioid abuse disorder.
Braeburn strives to foster high-performing groups of employees that are passionate about being on the front lines of addressing the opioid crisis and helping people. They leverage technology and foster a collaborative environment that encourages individuals to share their talents and voices to bring ideas to life.
Braeburn is one of only six Philadelphia-area companies on the list. The highest-ranked company in the region is Philadelphia-based Piano at No. 41.
