The CEO of a Radnor-based pharmaceutical company, Dr. Scott Braunstein, M.D., has made a top 25 list of Biotech CEOs for 2022, compiled by  The Healthcare Technology Report.

Dr. Braunstein, of Marinus Pharmaceuticals, came in at No. 11. Marinus focuses on improving the lives of patients with seizure disorders. Dr. Braunstein was named CEO in 2019, after serving as Executive Chairman of Marinus’ Board of Directors.

The company has tripled its employee base under his leadership. It has expanded its drug pipeline with its focus on rare and refractory epilepsies and filed its first new drug application with the FDA.

He executed an exclusive collaboration agreement for European commercialization of its lead product candidate, expanded the company’s access program, and has gone out of his way to engage with patients and their families globally.  

Dr. Braunstein has more than 30 years of knowledge and experience in the biotech and pharma industries.  

He is an operating partner at Aisling Capital and was recently Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Pacira Biosciences.

Dr. Braunstein’s career has been patient-centric. He has been an active volunteer and led many philanthropic causes.
